Rummie - a comic strip about music
RUM (The National Association of Young Musicians) wanted a comic for their magazine RUM’ba. Only demand was that their mascot – the clarinet playing otter Rummie had to be in it. I was of course happy to help!
My anthropomorphic skills really came to a test on this one. I rarely draw animals overall, let alone playing instruments. The fun part of the series was the overall theme of orchestras and wind bands. Since its topic I wanted the comic to have an edge and always lead into something unexpected.
The comic was with the magazine until its final days.
